The Functional Wall Paint! has been specially developed for walls that have to withstand a lot in everyday life. It is highly opaque, robust, scrub-resistant and easy to wipe clean - ideal for families, pets and lively rooms.

For walls where life happens: The Functional Wall Paint! has been specially developed for interior walls subject to heavy use, is particularly hard-wearing and therefore durable: fingerprints, splashes and other signs of use can be easily wiped off. Simply use a damp cloth and remove the traces of everyday life.

Breathable and vapour permeable: You can use The Functional Wall Paint! in all interior areas. It is ideal for corridors, stairwells, kitchens, children's rooms or all areas where walls are frequently touched or soiled.

You can use The Functional Wall Paint! on wallpaper, woodchip and plastered walls indoors. It is important that the surface is stable and clean.

Yes, we definitely recommend this. Highly or differently absorbent substrates - e.g. fresh plaster, levelled surfaces or typical old building walls - should be prepared with a deep penetration primer (e.g. To Prime Walls) before painting.

The primer equalises the absorbency of the substrate, improves the adhesion of the paint and supports a smooth, even painting result with good coverage.

Yes, The Functional Wall Paint!can be painted over and is therefore particularly easy to renovate. After complete drying and curing, the painted surface can be easily reworked if necessary. This allows you to remain flexible in the design of your walls in the long term.

The Functional Wall Paint! is highly opaque. You can usually achieve a perfect result with 2 coats of our wall paint. Red and yellow tones as well as clear white often require an additional coat for an even, colourfast result.

The Functional Wall Paint! provides a matt finish that now looks even more matt thanks to the new, optimised formula - but remains just as hard-wearing and robust.

Stir the wall paint thoroughly after opening the can so that the pigments and binder are evenly distributed. Then pour some of the paint into a paint tray.

Apply The Functional Wall Paint! evenly and generously to the wall using a paint roller or brush. The paint is ready to use and is particularly easy to apply. If necessary, you can dilute it slightly with up to 5 % water. For large areas, it is also possible to work with a suitable sprayer (e.g. Wagner Flexio).

Allow the first coat to dry for approx. 6 hours. Then apply the second coat. We always recommend two coats, even if the colour already covers well the first time - this allows the full depth of colour to develop and the surface becomes particularly even and robust. Red and yellow tones as well as clear white often require an additional coat for an even, colourfast result.

The paint is dust-dry after approx. 1 hour, completely dry and ready for cleaning after approx. 28 days. Only then does The Functional Wall Paint! reach its maximum durability and can be wiped off particularly well.

For highly or differently absorbent substrates (e.g. fresh plaster, levelled surfaces or old walls), you should prepare the wall beforehand with To Prime Walls. This ensures even absorbency and a smooth painting result.

Tip: Wrap the paint roller, brush and paint tray airtight in cling film during the drying break. This will keep them moist and ready to use again for the second coat.

Yes, soiling such as fingerprints, splashes or everyday marks can be easily removed with a damp cloth.

Yes, like all our colours, varnishes and additional products, The Functional Wall Paint! is water-based. For you, this means that you can easily wash it off your hands, brushes and rollers with water.
