How it works

Tips & tricks for painting furniture

  • Always remove the adhesive tape while the varnish is still damp.
  • Scratches and imperfections in your furniture can be repaired beforehand with our filler.
  • On smooth surfaces such as laminated furniture, plastic veneer or metal furniture, use our To Bond & Block primer to ensure a good paintable surface and perfect adhesion.
  • For light colour shades on real wood, pre-paint with our To Bond & Block primer to avoid stains in the new coat

Painting furniture: How-to

Painting your furniture is easy with these simple steps:

  • Clean your furniture thoroughly and wipe it down with clean water afterwards.
  • Mask off anything you don't want to paint.
  • Are the surfaces smooth or prone to bleeding? Prime them with To Bond & Block.
  • Stir the paint well and pour it into a paint tray.
  • Apply the paint quickly and evenly. Use a brush for corners and edges first. Apply the paint to larger surfaces using a roller.
  • Apply the second coat after a drying time of 4–6 hours.
  • The paint will be fully cured and ready for everyday use after 14 days.
