How it works
Tips & tricks for painting kitchen cabinets
- Always remove the adhesive tape while the varnish is still damp.
- Scratches and dents in your kitchen cabinets can be repaired beforehand with our filler.
- On smooth surfaces such as laminated kitchens or plastic veneer, use our To Bond & Block primer to ensure a good paintable surface and perfect adhesion.
- For light colour shades on real wood, pre-paint with our To Bond & Block primer to avoid stains in the new coat.
- You can also protect hard-wearing surfaces from scratches and splashes with To Seal
Painting the kitchen: How-to
Here’s how to easily paint your kitchen cupboards:
- Clean the cupboards thoroughly to remove grease and dust, then wipe them down with clean water.
- Mask off everything you don't want to paint.
- If you have smooth kitchen cupboards, for example with a plastic veneer, prime them with To Bond & Block.
- Stir the paint well and pour it into a paint tray.
- Apply the paint quickly and evenly. Use a brush to work on corners and edges first. Apply the paint to larger surfaces using a roller.
- After a drying time of 4–6 hours, apply the second coat.
- After 14 days, the paint will be fully cured and ready for everyday use.
