What would you like to use wood wax for?
Your area of application
Surface application for protection
- after coating with matt chalk paint
- on untreated wooden surfaces
Preparation: The surface must be dry, clean and free of dust and grease. Sand wooden surfaces with sandpaper to achieve the desired finish.
Waxing: Waxes work differently on different surfaces. We recommend a trial application. Apply the wax thinly with a wax brush or cloth and leave to dry. Once completely dry, the surface can be polished with a soft cloth.
Accents and emphasising details
- Shabby style
- To Stencil
Preparation: The surface must be dry, clean and free from dust and grease.
Waxing: If details are to be emphasised or accents set, priming with the colourless wax is helpful before working with coloured wax. To achieve the desired effect, we recommend working out the theme and trying out a little first. To create a special depth effect with ornaments, for example, you can emphasise the depths with a dark wax and the heights with a lighter wax.
Trocknungszeit
Nach jedem Auftrag einer dünnen Schicht des Wachses, die Oberfläche einige Stunden trocknen lassen. Das Wachs ist nach 3 bis 4 Tage vollständig ausgehärtet.

Instructions
- Remove residues: Residues of old wax or old paint on your workpiece should be sanded off with sandpaper. You can find the right sanding pad at MissPompadour.
- Clean: Remove dust and dirt from the surface and mask off anything you don't want to wax. Please note that the preparation always differs depending on the project.
- Apply the wax: Carefully warm the wax to soften it a little so that it is easier to apply. Our wax brush is particularly suitable for larger areas. However, waxing furniture also works well with a soft cloth or sponge. Make sure you always work in the direction of the wood grain.
- Drying: After each application of a thin layer of wax, leave the surface to dry for a few hours. This process can be repeated as often as required until the desired result is achieved.
- Polishing: Finally, polish the surface with a soft cloth. This removes excess wax and gives the surface a subtle shine. Give the wax 3 to 4 days to harden completely.

FAQ
What can I use MissPompadour To Wax-Polish for?
MissPompadour To Wax-Polish is suitable for the care, refinement and topcoat of furniture, wood and matt paints of all kinds. It protects against soiling, refreshes surfaces and gives them a velvety appearance.
Are there different colour shades and can I mix them?
Yes, the wax is available in clear, antique, white, black, grey and gold. All colour shades can be mixed with each other so that individual effects and accentuations are possible.
How do I apply the wax correctly?
The wax is applied thinly with a wax brush or a non-fibrous cloth to clean, dry and dust-free surfaces. After drying, it can be polished with a soft cloth to achieve the desired look.
Is the wax also suitable for untreated wood?
Yes, untreated wood can be excellently protected and visually enhanced with MissPompadour To Wax-Polish. The natural colour of the wood can be accentuated and the surface becomes more hard-wearing.

How much area can I process with one can of wax?
