How it works
Tips & tricks for painting doors
- Always remove the adhesive tape while the varnish is still wet.
- You can repair holes and imperfections in the door beforehand with our filler.
- On smooth surfaces such as laminated doors, plastic veneer or metal doors, use our To Bond & Block primer to ensure a good paintable surface and perfect adhesion.
- For light colour shades on real wood, pre-paint with our To Bond & Block primer to avoid stains in the new coat
Painting doors: How-to
Painting doors made easy:
- Clean the doors and door frames thoroughly, then wipe them down with clean water.
- Mask off any areas you don't want to paint.
- Prime smooth surfaces (e.g. metal or plastic).
- Stir the paint well and pour it into a paint tray.
- Apply the paint quickly and evenly. Using a brush, paint corners and edges first, then use a roller for the flat surfaces.
- Allow 4–6 hours for drying, then apply a second coat.
- After 14 days, the paint will have fully cured and become completely hard-wearing.
