Paint everything? Yes, really – without any sanding at all

Easy Eggshell! is our all-rounder for you. It creates a soft, silky-matt, smooth and hard-wearing finish and can be used not only indoors but also outdoors. Easy Eggshell! also saves you the hassle of sanding. You can simply start painting on many surfaces; for smooth or bleeding substrates, simply prime first with our adhesion and stain-blocking primer To Bond & Block.

When developing this product, it was important to us that you could just paint. This means: the varnish is low-drip and low-emission, offers high coverage and has a long open time. Once dry, it is impact- and scratch-resistant and can be easily cleaned. Easy Eggshell! is available in over 100 colour shades from the Just Paint Collection – so you’re sure to find your perfect colour!

You can, of course, apply the varnish easily with one of our great brushes. This will give you an even finish without brush marks. For larger surfaces, using a paint roller is recommended. If you’re painting large areas such as a garden fence or several doors, Easy Eggshell! can also be applied using a paint sprayer. In this case, you should thin the varnish with approx. 15% water. To ensure the varnish develops its full durability and colour depth, we recommend applying two coats.

Low-emission painting with Easy Eggshell!

Our high-quality varnish also stands out for its low-emissions formula. We’re always looking for ways to reduce the use of VOCs and preservatives without compromising on durability or ease of application. This benefits not only the environment but you too: you can apply Easy Eggshell! beautifully to the interior of your home. Naturally, Easy Eggshell! – like all MissPompadour products – is water-based.

We also prioritise short supply chains to reduce CO₂ emissions. That’s why Easy Eggshell! is manufactured in Germany.

How to use Easy Eggshell!

Painting tiles

Tiles pose no problem for our all-rounder. Whether it’s wall tiles in the bathroom, on the floor or a tiled splashback in your kitchen – Varnish! enhances everything.

Before painting the tiles, you should clean all surfaces thoroughly. Any old limescale, soap or grease residues must be completely removed. Use MissPompadour Cleaner for this.

Was silicone used as grout for your tiles? The paint will bead off silicone, but even that’s no problem with MissPompadour: prime silicone joints with To Seal Silicone.

Next, apply a coat of MissPompadour To Bond & Block. This primer ensures that your paint adheres well to the smooth surface. Once the primer has dried, apply two coats of Easy Eggshell!

For tiles subject to particularly heavy wear – such as on the floor or behind the shower, as well as on the kitchen splashback – we recommend a final topcoat over your tile paint to make the finish even more durable. MissPompadour To Seal is perfect for this.

Repainting kitchen cupboards – no problem

Easy Eggshell! is brilliant for painting your kitchen units. And it works not only on wooden fronts, but also on those with a plastic veneer, such as high-gloss surfaces.

Thoroughly cleaning all surfaces is particularly important, especially in the kitchen. If you have a wooden kitchen, you can apply Easy Eggshell! straight away without a primer. For plastic surfaces, a primer such as To Bond & Block is necessary to ensure your varnish adheres well to the smooth surface.

As kitchen cupboards are opened and closed daily and cleaned regularly, we also recommend an additional topcoat with our To Seal.

Easy Eggshell! for upcycling wooden furniture

If you want to give a piece of furniture a makeover, you’ll often achieve the greatest effect with wood varnish. Naturally, our varnish is perfect for all wooden surfaces – from wooden items such as furniture to wooden children’s toys. You can also use it to spruce up a staircase or wooden panelling on walls and ceilings.

If your furniture is already painted, you can just paint over the top with Easy Eggshell!, provided the old varnish is still intact. You should only sand it down if the old varnish is already flaking or crumbly.

If a piece of old furniture has noticeable stains or discolouration, we recommend first applying MissPompadour To Bond & Block. This stain blocker prevents the stains from showing through the new paint. Applying a primer is also advisable for highly absorbent, untreated wood. This seals the pores of the surface beforehand, so the wood absorbs less paint.

Just paint metal, glass and high-gloss surfaces

Even very smooth surfaces such as high-gloss kitchen fronts or even glass can be painted with this varnish. This all-rounder works just as well on metal, too. Have you ever thought about giving your fridge a whole new look? With Easy Eggshell!, that’s no problem at all!

Here too, it’s important to use our To Bond & Block primer to ensure good adhesion.
