Tips & tricks for painting heating systems

  • Always remove the adhesive tape while the varnish is still damp.
  • Rust spots must be carefully removed and pre-treated with a rust protection primer.
  • On the smooth surface of your radiator, use our To Bond & Block primer to ensure a good paintable surface and perfect adhesion.
  • Only paint the radiator when it is cold
  • Wait at least 5 days after painting before heating the radiator again.

Painting the heating: How-to

This makes painting the radiator very easy:

  • Clean the radiator thoroughly and wipe with clean water.
  • Mask off everything that is not to be painted.
  • Stir the varnish well and pour it into a paint tray.
  • Paint the colour quickly and evenly. Prepare corners and edges with a brush. Paint surfaces with a roller.
  • After 4 - 6 hours drying time, apply the 2nd coat
