MissPompadour Green with Lagoon

Green with Lagoon is an intense, strong shade of green with blue colour components. Anyone familiar with Venice will immediately be reminded of the colours of the Mediterranean with this radiant aqua tone. Lovers of an eclectic furnishing style will combine MissPompadour Green with Lagoon with other bright colour shades, for example on oriental carpets or upholstery. Soft yellow nuances through to curry-coloured spice tones go particularly well, as does a soft sand tone such as Beige with Sand on furniture. Green with Lagoon is also a perfect colour shade for painting garden furniture. This will bring a real holiday flair to your garden.

The radiant, clear aqua tone between deep green and sea blue is not too dark, but is only suitable as a wall paint for a single wall in the room due to its intensity. Combine Green with Lagoon with accents in other bright colour shades. This creates an almost eclectic interior design style. Complement your accent wall with a softly tinted, warm shade of white such as White with Sun on the other walls. And of course, a soft sand colour such as Beige with Sand also works well. This colour combination creates the perfect Mediterranean ambience.

As it is a heat-resistant varnish, you can even paint your radiators with it. You can pre-coat particularly smooth surfaces with our primer so that the paint adheres better. This saves you sanding.

The smooth varnish is also suitable as a furniture varnish for upcycling small and large pieces of furniture that are subject to wear, such as chairs, tables and benches as well as cupboards and bedside cabinets

Eggshell Varnish in the garden

Outdoor wood protection made easy! Eggshell Varnish is not only used indoors, but also outdoors as a weatherproof wood varnish. Varnish your pergola or garden shed, your fence or your garden furniture with this weather-resistant, semi-matt white or coloured varnish. Eggshell Varnish is also suitable as a varnish for outdoor metal - in short: for almost everything. Why only almost? Because we do not recommend painting patio tiles with Eggshell Varnish. It is not suitable for surfaces where standing water collects.

Eggshell Varnish:	MissPompadour Eggshell Varnish is a silky matt, slightly shimmering varnish with impressive coverage and high durability. It is suitable for finishing tiles, metal, stone, plastics and, of course, wood indoors and outdoors. Eggshell Varnish produces a smooth, easy-care surface that is pleasant to the touch. The Eggshell Varnish appears slightly brighter than the Matt Varnish due to the smooth surface and stronger reflection of light. Preparation and use: Stir varnish well and apply at temperatures from 7 °C. Pre-treat raw iron and rusty metal (sand off rust spots) with Rust Protection Primer and then prime with To Bond & Block. Remove flaking old paint or sand the substrate. The substrate must be free of dust and grease. If the substrate is bleeding or stained, prime with the stainblock MissPompadour To Bond & Block. Use the fine MissPompadour brush or a varnish roller. Spraying is possible after diluting with a little water Coverage: 1 litre of Eggshell Varnish is sufficient for approx. 10 m2 with a double coat. Coverage and coverage depend on the condition of the substrate Drying time: Dust-dry after 0.5 hours - can be painted over after 4-5 hours - cured after approx. 14 days Shelf life: At 5-25 °C approx. 2-3 years, store frost-free and tightly closed Dilution: Our varnish is ready to use, if necessary dilute with 5% water for brush and roller application. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Keep out of reach of children. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Avoid release to the environment. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local/regional/national/international regulations. Returns
Sometimes it happens that the colour is more plentiful than you thought. If you have unopened tins that you want to send back to us, simply contact our customer service team within 14 days of receiving the goods. Please note that you will be responsible for the return costs, as we try to minimise returns for reasons of sustainability.

Water-based
All our colours, varnishes and additional products are water-based. For you, this means that you can easily wash them off your hands, brushes and rollers with water.

For a stable paint and varnish finish, you don't have to use paints with solvents that are harmful to the environment and your health. Apply our paints without additional protective measures - because while the varnishes contain the lowest possible amount of VOCs, our wall paints are even VOC-free.

How do I use Eggshell Varnish?

Stir the varnish carefully after opening the can so that the pigments are evenly distributed. Then pour some of the varnish into a paint tray. Now apply the varnish evenly and not too thickly with a brush or paint roller. For large surfaces such as wooden ceilings or garden sheds, you can also work with a paint sprayer. Dilute the varnish with a maximum of 10% water.

Leave the varnish to dry for approx. 4 hours or overnight. Then apply a second coat of paint. We recommend that you always apply 2 coats, even if the varnish covers the first time. This makes the coat of paint thicker and longer-lasting!

For surfaces such as floor tiles that need to be cleaned frequently, you should also seal the varnish. Use To Seal - MissPompadour Topcoat for this. After a few hours, you can carefully walk on the painted surfaces again. The varnish is fully cured after approx. 14 days.

Tip: Wrap the paint tray, paint brush and Roller in cling film during the drying break. This will keep everything moist until the second coat.

When do I need to prime or seal varnish?

In most cases, you can achieve a perfect result with MissPompadour Green with Lagoon as an eggshell varnish alone - without priming or sealing. You can usually simply paint over old paintwork without sanding if the old layers of paint are still sufficiently stable.

However, priming is sometimes necessary. To Bond & Block - MissPompadour-to-bond-and-block primer is perfect for many substrates. Paint stained, discoloured wood or wood with lots of knotholes with it to create an even surface for the Eggshell Varnish. It provides stainblock protection against bleeding wood.

If you want to work on very smooth surfaces made of glass, tiles or plastic, we recommend a primer coat of To Bond & Block so that your paint holds better.

You should also prime metal paintworkif the metal is unpainted or the varnish has flaked off. If it is raw iron or rusty metal, use a rust protection primer before priming.

If you want to paint silicone joints in the bathroom or kitchen, prime them in advance with To Seal Silicone - MissPompadour Silicone Sealer, otherwise the paint will not adhere to silicone. The varnish can then adhere well to a prepared surface.

You should finish off the painting of very hard-wearing surfaces such as floors, steps, handrails or similar with our To Seal - MissPompadour Topcoat
