How it works
Tips & tricks for painting heating systems
- Always remove the adhesive tape while the varnish is still damp.
- Rust spots must be carefully removed and pre-treated with a rust protection primer.
- On the smooth surface of your radiator, use our To Bond & Block primer to ensure a good paintable surface and perfect adhesion.
- Only paint the radiator when it is cold
- Wait at least 5 days after painting before heating the radiator again.
Painting the heating: How-to
Here's how to paint your radiator with ease:
- Thoroughly clean the radiator and wipe it down with clear water.
- Mask off any areas you don't want to paint.
- Stir the paint well and pour it into a paint tray.
- Apply the paint quickly and evenly. Use a brush for corners and edges, and a roller for larger surfaces.
- After 4-6 hours of drying time, apply a second coat.
- After 14 days, the paint will be fully cured and ready for full use.
