How it works
Tips & tricks for painting outdoors
- Always remove the adhesive tape while the varnish is still wet.
- You can repair holes and imperfections beforehand with our filler .
- On smooth surfaces made of plastic or metal, for example, use our To Bond & Block primer to ensure a smooth, paintable surface and perfect adhesion.
- For light colour shades on real wood, pre-paint with our To Bond & Block primer to avoid stains in the new coat.
- Rusty areas must be sanded down and primed with a rust protection primer.
Painting outdoors: How-to
- For an effortless outdoor paint project, start by cleaning your surface thoroughly and wiping it down with a damp cloth.
- Cover or tape off any areas you don't want painted.
- For smooth or bleeding surfaces, prime first with To Bond & Block.
- Stir the paint well before pouring it into a paint tray.
- Apply the paint quickly and evenly. Use a brush to cut in the corners and edges, then paint the larger surfaces with a roller.
- After 4–6 hours of drying time, apply the second coat.
- The paint will be fully cured and hard-wearing after 14 days.
