But you can also give untreated natural wood a stable surface and a noble brownish shimmer with Antique Wax. The great thing is that the wood structure is always retained and remains visible, although the wood tone deepens. The wax is also ideal for sealing stone and cork and giving it a subtle colour. Antique Wax is indispensable if you want to design furniture in a shabby style. The dark colour gives your furniture the right patina. After painting, treat the edges and pilaster strips of your workpiece with the brown Wax-Polish. You will see that your furniture looks as if it has aged for many years.

The application of MissPompadour Antique Wax

Firstly, clean the surface thoroughly. Natural wood may need to be lightly sanded. To apply the MissPompadour Antique Wax, we recommend using the MissPompadour wax brush. This thick, round brush sits comfortably in the hand. And its strong natural bristles can absorb and release enough Wax. The easiest way to do this is to heat the Wax very slightly. You will then notice how well this brush works the wax deep into the pores of the surface. Allow a first, thin layer of wax to dry before applying a second layer. Finally, polish the surface with a soft cloth

MissPompadour Antique Wax on metal

As MissPompadour Antique Wax is also suitable for metal, you can also use it to refurbish old hinges and locks. But even an old metal locker can be given a completely new look with MissPompadour Wax. It is always important that the wax adheres well to the surface. It should first be roughened a little. If necessary, sand the metal a little beforehand.
