By applying this wax, you close the open pores of your matt paint application and create a smooth surface with a matt appearance. The wax application also makes the surface hard-wearing and easy to clean. And the deep dark colour of the wax gives you the option of making your chosen colour shade darker and more subdued. But you can also give untreated natural wood a stable surface and a noble black shimmer with Wax-Polish Black. The beauty of this is that the wood structure always remains intact and visible, even though the colour changes. The wax is also good for sealing stone and cork and giving it a subtle colour. Black wax is indispensable if you want to give furniture a shabby style. The black colour gives your furniture the right patina. After painting, work the edges and pilaster strips of your piece with the black wax. You will see that your furniture looks as if it has aged for many years.

The application of MissPompadour Wax Black

First, clean the surface thoroughly. Natural wood may need to be lightly sanded. To apply MissPompadour Wax Black, we recommend the MissPompadour wax brush. This thick round brush fits comfortably in your hand. And its strong natural bristles can absorb and release enough wax. The easiest way to do this is to warm the wax very slightly. You will then notice how well this brush works the wax deep into the pores of the surface. Let a first, thin layer of wax dry before you apply a second layer. Finally, polish the surface with a soft cloth.

The environmental compatibility of MissPompadour Wax

MissPompadour Wax Black, like all our waxes, is made from an ancient recipe of beeswax and carnauba wax. It contains the least possible amount of preservatives and solvents. However, a little is necessary to ensure sustainable storage. Therefore, the wax should not get into the hands of children.
