Quick guide: How to paint your walls
0. (optional) Are your walls chalky, freshly plastered, or highly absorbent? Or do you want to paint over wallpaper? In these cases, it’s best to apply a primer first – otherwise, you'll need significantly more paint as these surfaces soak it right up. We recommend our To Prime Walls.
1. Dust off the walls and mask off any areas that won't be painted.
2. Stir the wall paint thoroughly and pour it into the paint tray. Apply the paint quickly and evenly. Cut in around corners and edges with a brush first, then use a roller for the larger surfaces. Leave the first coat to dry for 4–5 hours.
3. Apply a second coat. Remove the masking tape whilst the paint is still damp. Has the paint already started to dry? If so, carefully score along the edge of the tape with a craft knife before peeling it off.
4. The paint will be fully cured after 3 days.
The product packaging for sets can be viewed on the respective product page for each individual product.

Coverage: 1 litre of The Valuable Wall Paint is sufficient for approx. 8 m2 with two coats. Coverage and coverage depend on the condition of the substrate
Drying time: "Hand-dry" after 0.5 hours - Can be painted over after 4-5 hours. Fully loadable after 3 days.

The Valuable Wall Paint!:
MissPompadour The Functional Wall Paint! is our matt, extremely hard-wearing wall paint. This diffusion-open paint with acrylate-based binders is similar to a latex paint. It is wet-washable and resistant to wet abrasion (class 1). Surfaces painted with it are resistant to water-soluble cleaning agents and disinfectants. The Functional Wall Paint is easy to apply and VOC free. However, its fantastic colour brilliance is particularly impressive. It is also easy to paint over again. This paint can be used to attractively design extremely hard-wearing walls in both private and professional areas.
Preparation and application: Stir the paint well and apply at temperatures from 8 °C. The paint is applied to plaster and textured wallpaper using a roller and brush. Spraying is possible, however, depending on the spray gun used, varying degrees of dilution may be necessary. Always apply 2 coats of paint so that the colour can fully develop its opacity.
Coverage: 1 litre of The Functional Wall Paint is sufficient for approx. 7 m2 with two coats. Coverage and coverage depend on the condition of the substrate.
Drying time: Dust-dry after 1 hour - can be painted over after 6 hours. Can be firmly wiped off after approx. 28 days.
Shelf life: At least 24 months in unopened packaging when stored in a cool and frost-free place. Once the packaging has been opened, the paint may spoil due to bacteria and mould on the outside. Please ensure clean storage in order not to impair the shelf life.
Dilute: Our paint is ready to use. On highly absorbent substrates, the paint can be diluted with a maximum of 5 % water for a primer coat. If using a paint sprayer, also dilute with water.

Custom-mixed in Regensburg
Your colour is only mixed once you place your order – freshly mixed, lovingly packaged and tailored specifically to your project. We prefer packaging solutions and filling materials made from paper. This ensures your project gets off to a personalised start, with great attention to detail.
20, 077 kg of Plastic Waste Offset
We are continuously working to completely eliminate plastics from our product range. Until we achieve a completely plastic-free range, we are taking responsibility. That's why we've partnered with everwave: for every kilogram of plastic sold by MissPompadour, one kilogram of plastic waste is removed from waterways. Since July 2022, over 20 tonnes of plastic have already been removed and recycled.
