Quick guide: How to paint your walls
0. (optional) Are your walls sandy, freshly plastered, or highly absorbent? Or do you want to paint over wallpaper? In these cases, it's well worth preparing them with a wall primer. Otherwise, you might end up using much more paint, as these surfaces absorb a lot of product. We recommend our To Prime Walls.
1. Clean any dust off the walls and mask off anything you don't want to paint.
2. Stir the wall paint thoroughly and pour it into the paint tray. Apply the paint quickly and evenly, cutting in the corners and edges first with a brush. Paint the main areas with the roller. Let the first coat dry for 6 hours.
3. Apply a second coat. Remove the masking tape while the paint is still wet. Has the paint already started to dry? Carefully separate the paint edge from the tape with a craft knife before peeling it off.
4. Give the wall paint plenty of time to dry. The finish will be fully cured and hard-wearing after 28 days.

The Functional Wall Paint!:
MissPompadour The Functional Wall Paint! is our matt, extremely hard-wearing wall paint. This diffusion-open paint with acrylate-based binders is similar to a latex paint. It is wet-washable and resistant to wet abrasion (class 1). Surfaces painted with it are resistant to water-soluble cleaning agents and disinfectants. The Functional Wall Paint is easy to apply and VOC free. However, its fantastic colour brilliance is particularly impressive. It is also easy to paint over again. This paint can be used to attractively design extremely hard-wearing walls in both private and professional areas.
Preparation and application: Stir the paint well and apply at temperatures from 8 °C. The paint is applied to plaster and textured wallpaper using a roller and brush. Spraying is possible, however, depending on the spray gun used, varying degrees of dilution may be necessary. Always apply 2 coats of paint so that the colour can fully develop its opacity.
Coverage: 1 litre of The Functional Wall Paint is sufficient for approx. 7 m2 with two coats. Coverage and coverage depend on the condition of the substrate.
Drying time: Dust-dry after 1 hour - can be painted over after 6 hours. Can be firmly wiped off after approx. 28 days.
Shelf life: At least 24 months in unopened packaging when stored in a cool and frost-free place. Once the packaging has been opened, the paint may spoil due to bacteria and mould on the outside. Please ensure clean storage in order not to impair the shelf life.
Dilute: Our paint is ready to use. On highly absorbent substrates, the paint can be diluted with a maximum of 5 % water for a primer coat. If using a paint sprayer, also dilute with water.

Your colour is only mixed once you place your order – freshly mixed, lovingly packaged and tailored specifically to your project. We prefer packaging solutions and filling materials made from paper. This ensures your project gets off to a personalised start, with great attention to detail.
20, 077 kg of Plastic Waste Offset
We are continuously working to completely eliminate plastics from our product range. Until we achieve a completely plastic-free range, we are taking responsibility. That's why we've partnered with everwave: for every kilogram of plastic sold by MissPompadour, one kilogram of plastic waste is removed from waterways. Since July 2022, over 20 tonnes of plastic have already been removed and recycled.
